#8) Terrific Toddlers

Many people are shocked that a two-year-old can answer catechism questions and memorize Bible verses. They think it is a lot of work and time. It’s not. I started catechism with my son once he started talking more clearly at around 18-months by asking him, “Who made you?” followed by “What is God’s Word?”.
#7) The Root Cause

“I have been down the natural path, and it didn’t work. I experienced short-term relief.” — “I follow a nourishing traditions diet and pursue chiropractic care, homeopathic care, and other natural alternatives to support my body’s ability to heal. Yet, I still suffer from a chronic, or life-threatening, disease or cancer.” — “I have followed my medical doctors’ orders to a T. I have had the recommended surgeries and have consistently taken my prescriptions. Nothing is working.”
If you, or someone you know, can relate to these statements, please, keep reading, and consider the content and resources provided.
#6) Kindle the Fire

Once upon a time, there was a natural and unavoidable component of the home called the hearth. The hearth was the heart of the home. It was the central place for warmth, light, cooking, and life. The fire was continuously kindled and fanned. The flames flickered vivaciously in the center of the home, welcoming family, friends, and the occasional stranger, to come and sing, play instruments, dance, create, and read. The embers rested as the family slumbered, awaiting the next rekindling upon their waking.
#5) One Step Backward, Three Steps Forward

Most of the topics that I write about could have this title. Taking backward steps is not our instinct. We instinctively walk forward. Walking backward involves a bit more concentration and caution. You must slow down and think. This mental, physical act is like the mental, spiritual act of repentance.
#4) Get Crackin’

One of the best ways to nourish your body and your brain is to eat fresh eggs from pasture raised hens. Eggs are known as “the brain food” in some cultures and are considered to be the “most complete” protein source in a single food.
#3) How Do You Butter Your Bread?

One small change that will make a giant impact on the health of your family is to bring back butter. Believe it or not, butter is a superfood! Butter contains naturally concentrated, and essential, nutrients. To clarify, I am speaking of raw butter. If this is foreign to you or brings to your mind the accepted narrative about raw dairy products, please keep reading.
#2) Back to Barefoot

Go ahead, kick off your shoes for this one.
Did you run around shoeless during your childhood? If you did, now is the time to get back to barefoot. If you didn’t, well, let’s get you on your way.
#1) Bless This Mess

With a toddler of my own, something that resonates with me in my current season of motherhood is to let the mess unfold for a period of time to allow me to focus on a particular task. Our homes are training grounds. This graceful reminder has come to me again and again through books, sermons, and podcasts as I have worked with children and families for many years, and now have a family of my own. This is very true!
