Why Homeschooling?

Parents, God gave you your children to be a heritage, a blessing, a reward. They are your wealth. They are your treasure.

He wants you to sharpen them into arrows that will be a straight shot. Believe it. Hold firm to the promises of God. Pray to the Lord each day to grant you the will and wisdom to raise your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord with diligence, excellence, grace, joy, thanksgiving.

“If you send them to Caesar, don’t be surprised if they come back Romans.”

-Vodie Baucham

How many times have you heard (or said), “They grow up so fast. I blinked and the time was gone?” Yes, this is certainly true. Yet, how much faster it goes by when for 18+ years your children spent most days away from you at school, followed by hours of extracurriculars or out with friends. And just like that, you blinked, and they were all grown up.

When you homeschool your children, you claim your responsibility to love, train, nourish, and guide them in following Jesus. You are claiming and stewarding the treasure that God has entrusted to you. You get to know them, engage with them, and enjoy them more fully.

I know that every family will have various opinions or face obstacles to homeschooling. Each family will make decisions that best fits their needs. Yet, I encourage you to consider the homeschooling model for your family. Christian education is what I am most passionate about. I am here to help!

Affermations: I affirm that homeschooling is not done in isolation. It is done in Christian community. I affirm that as children reach their upper elementary, middle, and high school years, they need involvement in Christian community, opportunities to serve others, to work, to play sports, to learn an instrument, and to develop relationships with people within your local church and in the broader community. I affirm such things as a Christian co-op, a classical Christian Hybrid school, or a private classical Christian school that is privately funded and unhindered by government interferences.

Why homeschooling? Because you were made for this!

You can do it. You are not alone. I am cheering for you!
